The Gaping Maw of Sound convinced Dwea that they meant her no harm, nor were they certain they wanted to kill Bane, which caused Dwea to calm, but also made her question whether she should fully trust the group.
Before committing to telling the group all she knew about the Sword of Tyr, she claimed they needed to go toward the island at the middle of the Untroubled Waters to prove themselves; toward the very tower that had appeared at Torn's Rest recently.
Agreeing, the group was catapulted from Torn's Conclave and skimmed the Untroubled Waters until they reached a point where the boat stopped and everyone except Kit fell asleep, their consciousnesses taken to another realm where they met Bane himself.
Bane spoke to the group, explaining his philosophy on hatred being used when necessary. He questioned them, and found them not entirely unwilling to hear his words. Before looking for such a spell, however, Kaos brought up the fact he had dragon's blood, and Dwea marveled at that, and showed the group how she could manipulate and use the rot to create marvelous technological wonders in Torn's Rest; primarily weapons of immense power.
Kaos asked what would happen his blood, which was filled with the creation magics of the dragons, met with the rot, which was of Bane. Dwea was eager to find out, but when they combined the two, a bright light engulfed the workshop, and as Kit reached into the center of the light, another hand reached out and touched his.
