Kaos had a heated conversation with his parents, Mandos and Haina Sharp, in which his father expressed disappointment that Kaos, or Thomas, was still pursuing a career in music rather than follow in their banking footsteps.
Pinstruck, the owner of the Mythril Dream, asked the group to keep the two Tieflings happy since they were there to invest in the tavern's automaton fighting business run from the back.
The Gaping Maw of Sound decided to show Kaos's parents just how good he was and struck a deal to play a concert during the championship automaton bout scheduled for later that evening.
While the band made ready, LeoJim and Smithee made plans to take the Doomblade sword they had into Effi's Pages and try to kill Doomblade with it.
The concert went off without a hitch, though Kaos decided to play the classics and hard metal rather than a song Syd had written to win over his parents.
Mandos walked out of the concert, but the crowd loved it, making the concert a massive success.
Meanwhile, LeoJim and Smithee found Talus, or Gift, outside of Effi's Pages, awaiting them. He claimed he could kill Doomblade, just so long as the pair didn't get in his way and wake him up by giving him the sword.
LeoJim decided he didnt want to be bossed around, and called on Thrax, informing the god of death that Talus was in Crooked Post.
Thrax showed up and confronted Talus, and Talus told LeoJim and Smithee to evacuate the town.
The Doomblade attached to Smithee fell away, the connection severed, in the sword's desire to hide from Talus.
