Tough as Dirt arrived in the Kindred Isle in the Moon Lands in order to return to Lunar Flower to its home.
Upon arriving, they noticed the sky looked different, and the atmosphere was one of synthetic night, as though the Moon Lands thrived only when the sun was muted and magically obscured.
Winslow identified where a group of nearby Lunar Flowers coule be found, so the group made way, but soon came upon a camp of two kindred, a Tabaxi and a Wolf. Ricco was able to overhear them talking about a "lonely individual" who was exhibiting erratic behavior in recent days.Â
Deciding it was none of their business, Tough as Dirt attempted to bypass the two, but the Tabaxi, Bezria, heard their passing and confronted them, explaining Newcomers were not welcome in the Moon Lands.
When the group explained they were returning a Lunar Flower, Bezria decided to allow them passage, but escorted them to a small rocky outcropping where the flowers were growing.
Tough as Dirt transplanted the flower to its new home, and in so doing, felt a blessing of the moon come upon them.
With this blessing, Gideon was able to do a little more investigating into why the moon in the Moon Lands looked so odd.
He remembered an old legend in the archives of Sophivitas about the world once having three moons. It struck him that the moon above them then and there was not the moon of Vault as they knew it, but a sister moon, hidden from the rest of the world but for this land.
Now that the group had the moon's blessing, they traveled on without need of concern for being unwelcome. Bezria bid them not stay too long, but the group wanted to find others of the Moon Lands to learn more about the Confluence which ran throughout the area.
While camping one evening, a human man came upon the group and asked to share their fire, calling himself Kel.
The group got the impression Kel was the person Bezria and the wolf kindred had been speaking about earlier, so they talked to him about what they were doing in the Moon Lands.
Getting the impression Kel was knowledgeable about many things, Gideon revealed more of their travels, including the story about Wizzler's death in Crooked Post. At this, Kel panicked and began to run.
Ricco was able to tackle Kel to the ground, which caused him to cry and plead. He claimed he was hiding here, and didn't want to be found. During his attempted escape, Gideon was able to see a glimpse of divine power in him.
Kel touched Ricco, apologizing for what he had to do, and Ricco fell over, nearly dead.
Kel threw off his cowl and revealed himself to be Kelemvor, the multiverse god of death, and announced to the group he would not be killed by them.
