Star and Scale made their way through Galdarion Forest, meeting a group of three minstrels known as the Bone Brothers, who told them things were not great in Othrund.
Apparently a schism had occurred, and the former partnership between Parliment and Eve Galdarion had broken, creating fighting in the streets between the two powers, and the people of the city were caught in the middle.
Parliment had control of Cloudthinner and were making a play at supplanting Eve.
The group continued on into the city of Othrund, seeking the Temple dedicated to Deorus, where Veritax could be found, being the priest who once lead the people of Deor to sacrifice Ezekiel's son, Ejay.
Before arriving, they found a young girl who single-handedly took down a group of Parliment soldiers looking to apprehend her. She seemed fascinated by the part and, despite being seemingly mute and undead, made her intention of following them known.
Ignoring her for the most part, Star and Scale found the temple, which was packed with people listening to Veritax's sermon on the partnership between death and sacrifice.
Upon seeing Ezekiel in the crowd, Veritax ended the sermon early and fled out the back of the temple.
Star and Scale chased after him, and as they tracked him through the streets of Othrund, they had a chance encounter with Omnia, who was having a conversation with a powerful undead entity.
Omnia seemed surprised to see the group, and commented on their newfound ability to mask their presence.
The group ignored Omnia in order to not lose Veritax, and eventually found him rowing out into the River Still, protected by Parliment soldiers.
After dispatching the soldiers, Ezekiel found himself alone on Veritax's boat with Eden, who stunned Veritax and stepped back, allowing Ezekiel to make his own decision.
Ezekiel killed Veritax, cementing his fate, and the devil which allowed Ezekiel to come back on the contract to kill the people of Deor, came to collect Ezekiel's soul.
Zeb refused to allow that to happen, however, and made a new deal, sacrificing Lubomir in order to restore Ezekiel fully to life.
With the pact sealed, the devil left and Ezekiel promised to help get Lubo back, and Zek promised Ezekiel the chance to see his son again in the afterlife.
Garrick noted that Tramorra's library would be an excellent place to lick their wounds from the battle and seek information on Seed, so the group made their way there.
