As Thrax, the God of Death, and Talus, the newly adorned God of Contradictions, faced off against each in the streets of Crooked Post, the members of Bogul's Bruisers arrived, Jezria and Samoht joining Bogul to protect the town they all loved from being destroyed in this new Constellation War.
The battle kicked off, and the Gaping Maw of Sound worked with the Bruisers to impede Thrax wherever they could.
During one portion of the battle, Lyra, the divine dire wolf, arrived to assist Thrax, but LeoJim fought against her, wounding her enough that Talus was able to use the Divinaxiom to drain Lyra of her divine power, killing the wolf companion of Sylviana.
The Temple to the Gods in Crooked Post, which had recently become a sanctified temple to the Raven Queen, was destroyed, but that sanctification allowed the Raven Queen to arrive and empower her child, Thrax, but Bogul severed their necrotic connection with the help of Oby and LeoJim to ensure Thrax was kept on his back foot. The Raven Queen did not stay around for the battle, fearing the power of the Divinaxiom.
Gunnderson's forge was destroyed during the fight, and the statue of Elspeth, which contained her body, was also ruined. However, Oby noticed a spirutual presence emerge from that statue, and encouraged that spirit to flourish, a skill she learned having grown up in Govvanath.
At one point, the Gaping Maw and Bruisers kept Thrax restrained so Talus could go into Effi's Pages and finish off Doomblade once and for all with the Divinaxiom. Upon doing so, Thrax realized he had nothing left to gain from fighting in Crooked Post, and melted away.
Talus thanked the groups, and apologized for the destruction the town had underwent during the battle, though it could have been much worse had the two group not been there to help.
Talus realized he wouldn't be able to use the Divinaxiom on Thrax unless he was weakened, and the Gaping Maw claimed they could give Talus that opportunity by hitting Thrax with the Sword of Tyr.
Samoht told them the last piece they sought was in an underground city beneath the Ruins of Caern in Highcroft, and Talus offered to teleport them there, with three days to find the last piece. At which point, the group would then be teleported to the Tower that Sees the Sunrise, whether they had the piece or not.
Agreeing, the groups made ready to leave, and Kaos found his parents dead within the Mythril Dream. There was little time to mourn, however, as the Gaping Maw made ready for the teleport.
