The Belligerents made their way back to Wilder to discuss their next move after leaving many friends in the tower at Torn's Rest
It soon becomes apparent that Vainya's thirst as a vampire has been more dire than the group realized, as she seduces a lizard kindred and he took her with him to a Hazenfayde den where man other lizard kindred were inhaling the drug meant to encourage epathetic connection.
While there, Flapjack partook of the drug, while Bao attempted to ensure Vainya was left to her own devices while she fed.
After feeding too deeply, Vainya drained her target completely, though neither she nor her companions made too much of a fuss about it.
Before the group could leave, however, the Damiya, the masterful force behind Bao's beliefs and organization, came upon Vainya, possessing her as it often did others before going completely missing years ago.
Bao was ready for the conversation to follow, having kept to his habits and precepts closely over the years. The Damiya was impressed with him, and explained that Vainya was somehow important.
The Damiay explained it was being held in thrall in Jawhara, and it required Bao, one of the few Damiyat left in Vault, to find and help it escape its torment, and that Vainya was imperative to that effort.
The spirit of the Damiya left Vainys quickly, as though running out of the power to maintain the connection, and the group quickly left the Hazenfayde den.
The group agrees that would support Bao in freeing what amounted in some ways to Bao's god.
Before leaving the Wilder, they procured a palanquin, which they attached to Gork's back, so Vainya could ride in it during the day.
The Belligerents left Wilder and arrived in Heron's Harbor, procuring a boat from Doma, and departing the Kindred Isle, leaving it better for their presence, and made way towards the souther continent of Jawhara.
