Within a memory, Garrick recalled tracking a dangerous woman when he first took up the charge to be a planar guardian named Helena. She made doors to other planes, and Garrick remembered catching up to her and confronting her about those doors.
Helena had claimed back then that she was trying to bring all peoples of all planes together, so people could move past their differences and unite under a multiversal banar of peace. When Garrick pointed out this would lead to bloodshed before it lead to any kind of peace, Helena expressed that was how it had to be.
Unwilling to said such bloodshed, the memory ended with Garrick unsheathing his sword and thanks Helena for a meal and her hospitality.
Back in the present, the group listened as Seed touched the Regulus and tried to explain to May why he was willing to destroy the ancient artifact, however, as he spoke, Seed's words were broadcast throughout the Watch of Westfall, as well as farther throughout Lyr'Lowain.
Not only this, but Seed's voice changed from what the group could hear him saying and what was being loudly cast throughout the area. Seed's amplified voice was articulate, powerful, commanding, and female.
The group was able to talk Seed down from destroying Regulus, but the denizens of the tower were scared, and rushed the group in an effort to kick Seed from the tower.
In the confusion and rush of bodies, Seed accidentally extended his hand and killed one of those rushing him.
Horrified, Seed followed the group as they escaped through an opening into a secret wall opened by an old elven man named Visit who was helping them escape.
Star and Scale were able to escape to the top of the Wastch of Westfall, a place from which Visit kept his constant vigil watching Demon's Hollow on the horizon.
He allowed the party to use his special spyglass which amplified many times the distance, and allowed the group to see Demon's Hollow it detail.
Garrick and May fought as May became extremely concerned with Seed's continued evolution and powers, and Garrick was endlessly defensive of Seed.
Indeed Seed now spoke with more confidence and articulation that he could before.
The group was able to see that the call Seed had sent out did more than reveal a surprising mystery about the tower that May desparately wanted to solve; it had also alerted the Grove Guard, who were on their way.
Visit helped show Garrick the ins and out of the tower, knowing every inch of the place, in case Star and Scale needed to mount a defense against the Grove Guard.
Zeb gave May ten hours to complete her work, and then they were getting Seed out before the Grove Guard arrived.
May and Vogal worked tirelessly over the next several hours while the group made ready to leave.
May and Vogal finished their research and May revealed to the group that Regulus did more than make music pretty -- it was an ancient, pre-Constellation War artifact that "maximized potential," and the very top of it, being a pointed monolith, could also bring out the maximum potential in an individual if they sacrificed themselves upon its peak.
The group decided to not test that theory, but May felt certain in her answers. She claimed this device did so much more than one thing, and the possibilities were endless in its application.
Before leaving, Zeb gave Visit a Harrowguard coin, and asked him to hand it over to Veminen if ever Visit saw him again.
The group waved goodbye to Visit and Vogal, and leapt from the Watch of Westfall, gliding south across the Kindred Sea toward Jawhara.
