The Belligerents followed Quillium to a small cottage outside of Wilder where the Harengon kindred made a stop, explaining it was one of his childhood homes, not abandoned and overrun, but was an example of what he was fighting to save on the island.
While the group listened to their newly backed candidate talk about his past, Raithe wandered into the back garden and began undergoing a transformation.
Raithe's body contorted and mutated into a monstrosity of its former self, and he then attempted to fly off, away from the group.
The Belligerents attempted to stop Raithe from leaving, but enough of Raithe was left within whatever he'd become to communicate that he was doing this of his own volition, and it was "the only way."
Still, Flapjack attempted to communicate telepathically with Raithe, which set off some sort of conflict between the entity empowering Raithe and the entity responsible for Flapjack's being.
The conflict manifested with both individuals seeing portends of the future: Raithe's future was a civilization set ablaze, the ruin of nations, and the scouring of the face of the world. Flapjack's was a twisted and abominable mockery of life, and oddly, a massive set of broken doors in the desert.
The party did finally allow Raithe's departure, but especially Dahlia was furious about it, lashing out at people in the party and eventually being talked down by Phira, Flapjack, and Frog.Â
The group made peace with what happened and followed Quillium to Wilder, the only place in the Kindred Isle not yet overcome by rot.
Quillium mentioned wanting to find Havyn, as she'd surely know what to do in order to battle the rot and earn the group the favor of the people, but he didn't know where she was. Last anyone had heard, she had embraced the rot, but Quillium didn't believe that.
The group traveled Wilder and came across a Tabaxi kindred named Waddo, who told the group that a group of elven interlopers were in Kindred and were creating a ruckus in the higher boughs of Wilder.
Seeing an opportunity to exert some leadership, Quillium and the Belligerents made their way to the elven conflict.
